Anyone else find the way they covered the hotside pipe and the pipe to the turbo interesting? Personally I'd take that SS badge off the front bumper; I'd still buy it if I had the funds though!

mostly to reduce under hood temperatures - reduced intake temps=more hp
i doubt it adds any hp - but i would believe it reduces under hood operating temps

i used to lay a bag of ice on my composite intake on my Pontiac WS6 at the strip while lighting up the tires then remove it for the run - some folks will do anything for a extra pony

Exactly. Looks like the previous owner was trying to reduce underhood temps and gain 1-2 "free" hp.
