Angry BAT RIDE got tagged

A 20 year old chick rear ended me last nite . I was stoped she was probally doing 10-20 ? mph . I never saw it coming, The only damage i can find are
2 small holes in the bumper from her lic. plate. We exchanged info , I called my ins. agent to let him know what happen, But did not give him any of her info. (yet)
The girl is on her parents insurance, so when i got home i called her mom and offered a chance for them to pay for repairs without notifing there ins. co. The mom was so greatful that i would do this, I have a 19 y.o. driver on my ins. too , And would hope someone would do the same for me if the situation were reversed.

So my questions are , How much is a rear bumper , paint , labor ?
Do deaerships charge for estimates ?
Do the bumpers come from chevy painted ?

I'll post a pic later today , But theres not much to see.

No they don't charge for estimates, no they don't come from GM painted. Won't even guess on parts or labor, but if you decide to do the work yourself there are painted salvage bumpers on e-bay every so often. I would take it to a body shop or dealer to have it checked and to get an estimate, you never know what might be broken behind the bumper. Sucks that it happened but nobody got hurt so that's the most important thing.

Yes That Does Suck! The Bumper will come in a paintable flat black finish so it will be a primer and color for the body shop! Assuming they'll use GM parts expect the estimate to be in the $1,200.00 to $1,400.00 dollar range! Now some insurance companies might claim the bumper is repairable in which it could be just say $400.00 to $500.00 to repair! We personally would want the bumper replaced instead of repaired!

Oh yeah, most estimates are free .....

Best-O-Luck ,

Sounds like TEXTING to me. I agree have someone check behind the bumper for damage.

Sorry to hear about your car batman. At least it wasn't more serious. I had something similar with a previous car and had to get the back bumper replaced. You should be able to get estimates from a body shop or two without paying anything. Most dealers around here seem to farm their body work out these days anyway.

Sorry to hear about your ride Batman and I'm glad your ok. Hope everything goes alright getting it fixed. With the new snow we are getting now, hopefully it won't happen again. I drive my old beater truck on days like today. Just incase someone is not paying attention to what they are doing. Stay safe and hopefully the roads get a little better soon.
