Yep, the SS comes with the optional HHR brakes standard. The standard HHR brakes are rear drum.

Instead of creating a new thread I thought I would continue this older one with my question. So if the SS brakes are really the same as what can be had on a regular HHR, why cant you use the space saver spare on the front? The owners manual goes in great detail how the space saver spare wheel will not fit on the front. Just curious if I ever have a flat. Thanks, G.B.

There are no "optional" brakes for the LS or LT HHR, only the SS can get the optional Brembo's. The Brembo caliper requires a 17" wheels I believe? You are supposed to put the spare on the back and the rear tire on the front if you have a flat.

So is that the same with a LS or LT HHR as well? Were you cannot use the space saver spare on the front? Thanks, G.B.

That is only meant for those with the "Brembo brake option".

The Brembo Calipers are larger than the standard calipers, thus needing the larger diameter wheel.

Great, so you can put the space saver spare wheel on the front of an SS with the standard brakes. Correct? Thanks, G.B.
