Getting Service ESC- U0073

changed to pedders springs but found one of the abs connectors loose and not to the post
do i need to replace that?
also had the tcm/bcm cable not locked
fixed all that and still got the U0073 code

anyone have this problem and what fixed it
my mechanic is going to research it and see what he can figure out

The Tech II manual says the following modules can set a U0073 code on a GM vehicle. The code itself indicates a "Control Module Circut Bus" problem has been found, usually through a reference voltage being out of range.(loose connections will do that)

BCM, DRR, EBCM, ECM, HVAC IPC, PSCM, Radio, RCDLR, RSA, SDM, TCM, TDM, and VCIM.

"It could be something as simple as a loose electrical connector, low voltage situation, blown fuse or complete failure of one of the modules."

I'd say that having the TCM/BCM cable loose and not locked fully into engagement would be the most likely culprit CJ.

Once that problem and the loose ABS connector are rectified, clear the codes and wait for a recurrence, I bet that it won't return.

The ABS sensor is integral to the Hub/bearing. What does "and not to the post" mean?

If the Wheel Speed (ABS) sensor was disconnected you should be getting lots of lights on your dashboard.

it wasnt disconnected
i was connected but not attached to the post so it was flopping around as I drove
we zip tied it to the mount
hoping it clears after 70 to 100 miles

I had one of them speed sensors go bad, and had to replace the whole hub. It wasn't too bad 40.00 I think. If parts of it are flopping around it's time.....

My mechanic has a little machine that plugs in and talks to the car it told him which hub it was. It looks like a tablet and says Snapon on it.

Sam beat me to it, but a Tech II can pull signal data from the wheel speed sensors.

No signal = dead sensor....Easy Peasy.
