i read by auto trader an offer for an 2010 hhr ss GENERAL MOTOR CHIP INSTALLED !! what means this ??????? greatings from germany/stuttgart

Sounds like a performance booster chip. I don't think it's GM, but if you can provide an image or link that we can view, may help.

Could be two things, as already noted...

Either it is a "performance chip", which should be avoided like the plague

Or it is the GMTU, which is pretty good if done right.

And you should buy it and take it on the autobahn, and video tape it...

The HHR SS does not use a chip as the computer is flash memory.

It has either a module you can plug inline or it has a programmer. Chips are OBD I.

The GM upgrade is flash memory and no chip either.

Odds are who ever is selling just does not know much about the car or what they have.

Ein wunderschönen tag! Vielleicht kann ich dir etwas besser helfen nachdem ich in der Staaten lebe aber deutscher bin. Ich bin ziemlich sicher das du kein hhr hast sondern ein Opel gt? Was die Jungs meinen ist es gibt gibt ein gm fabriziertes stage kit für den lnf Motor. Der benutzt verschiedenen Bosch Systeme. Man kann ihn hier für etwa $500 kaufen gibt den lnf Motor 30 PS mehr und etwa 80tq. Was sie auch meinen ist es gibt fiele so genannte Chips das sind normalerweise chinesische Abfall Chips die man auf ebay kauft tauchen nichts und ruinieren meistens den Motor. Lol ich habe gerade einz deiner alten Post gesehen. Du hast dir ein HHR ss aus Österreich gekauft? Wenn es ein wirklicher ss ist hat er den gleichen Motor alz der Opel GT. Also kkönntest du rein theoretisch Opel gt teile kaufen und installieren zu mindestens Sachen für den Motor.
