I picked up my black 2010 ss last June 10' and have just over 3000 on her now. Oh yeah...she is in storage for the winter while my jeep gets winter duty. Just cant stand to see her covered in salt. I plan on keeping this car long after it is paid off.

Picked up my special ordered SS in March 2009 with less than 1 mile on the clock and it'll be rolling the 30k mile mark later this week. All very fun and practical miles so far and am hoping to enjoy many more miles and years of ownership to come!

Man, saw in your sig that you had a hell of a wait to get your SS. That must have driven you insane...I had to wait almost as long to get my PT back in the day. Did you ever get frustrated or consider bailing?

A bit frustrating indeed as I had to deal with just missing out on a build before the normal factory holiday shutdown only to then have to sweat out the uncertainties of the bankruptcy mess that followed. But Chevy came through and I kept the faith the whole time...I REALLY wanted this car!

But my wait was nothing compared to those who waited for SS Panels (see Rainman's post above).

Part of the reason I'm putting up 20K miles a year on the red rocket is that I use it for a lot of business driving. I've driven it to Pittsburgh and New England quite a few times. I get reimbursed 50 cents/mile, and on those trips I get about 30 MPG, so I make out okay. And I also taught my 17-year old to drive on the SS, and she uses it from time to time to go places, until I can get a car for her, probably this summer. Ironically she loves the HHR so I'm thinking of buying her a used one. I can get an 08 HHR (LS or LT) with 40K+/- miles for a little less than $10K!
