Thinking of replacing my side SS emblems with these

But here's something you might like. Check out my SS's grille (see my avatar, left, and my album). I felt there was something lacking when the car was viewed from the front, but I didn't want a large SS that I'd seen others had placed over the bow-tie emblem. So I ordered an SS grille emblem for a 2010 Camaro SS. It's available at your Chevy dealer's parts counter, GM Part #92225494, and it matches the stylized stock SS badges for the HHR. I just carefully broke off the two small pins on the back, wiped the grille with an alcohol swab, and mounted the emblem using the sticky tape already on the back. I positioned it on the driver's side, just below center, to balance appearance with the most contact of the badge (with particular attention to the corners of the letters) with the grille.
I don't dislike the ones that are already there...I blacked mine out, and I think they look great. I just think the Nova versions could look pretty cool, and different, and if they weren't red and black, I probably wouldn't have even considered it.

I already bought them, so the expense part is done. Like I said, definitely a risk on my part, as they may never make it to the car. But it's not the first time...last year I bought 20" rims I thought would look great, put them on the car, hated them after a week, then put the stockers back on.

I just put an SS on my grille...the red Monte Carlo SS emblems (same font as the ones already on our SSes). About the same location as yours. I used the trunk version, and it's a little small (2" x 1/2"), so I think I'm going to go to the side version of the MC SS...it's 3".

I can't wait to see some pics of the new badges! Retro badges with a retro design should be pretty cool I think.

As long as it's an SS I say swap them with whichever you like. I just hate when people put SS badges on non SS vehicles. The '64 Impala emblems could look cool too.
