Question what type of oil??

what kind of mobil 1 are you guys using?
i don't mean weight, i mean "high performance" or "long life"...
i'm heading out to get some in about 10 mins and want to get the right stuff.

first oil change in the morning.

The manual says it must meet GM standard GM4718M , display the API starburst symbol, and be SAE 5W-30. If both choices meet the standards, either should be fine. If you usually drive at higher revs, high-perf might be the way to go. I would get long life, since I mostly drive at low revs (with occasional high-rev bursts and associated grins ).

thanx man i'll prob go with the high rev one.
i'd like the long life too. it's 40 f'n bucks plus tax for both kinds so long life makes more sense... i don't know maybe the long life. damn, too many variables.

I went with the Mobil 1 "for new cars".
$47 clams for 4.4 liters.

How much are you guys in the states paying?

the HHR is booked in for 8:30 tomorrow morning for its first oil change. Dealer wanted $89.95 to change it. I bought the formula for newer vehicles at Wally Mart for $41.95 5 litres. I am changing it at 5,000 km.They said they would change it for $13.95 plus the cost of the filter
