Don & Others... Old Thread with a few newbies as myself interested in this mod.

When converting to a after-market modern touch screen radio and amp, the conversion wiring loom needed is the one without button retention, a LAN3.
I've converted a '08 Panel without Amp & Radio buttons to Amp, Sub and Radio then later discovered this thread.
Adding the Radio controls, would require cutting out the LAN3 and soldering in a LAN4?
From my reading, LAN4 adds the use of the Radio controls.

Did anyone later upgrade to a aftermarket Radio and use the LAN4?

Wow, that really was one of the longest threads in forum history. Any chance anyone has these 3 items laying around? I wouldn't mind adding this to our 2006 (grey 11i RPO code interior) so my daughter doesn't have to take her hands off of the steering wheel.

Thanks.

Just as a heads up, I was trying to do this myself on my newly acquired 2010 LS. I managed to get the switch no problem, found the cover at a dealership in FL, and a harness at a dealership in southern CA. Fast forward a week to today when the last piece came in. I open my boxes like a kid at a candy store. Switch looks perfect. Cover does, too. Harness has only three connectors and none of them fit the switch... umm... wha?!?!? The only harness I can find and it's the wrong part in the box... bleh. Off to post in classifieds to see if anyone's got the harness :p

I found a steering wheel at the junk yard with the control buttons. What do I need to swap it to my 2010 LT? It was a burgundy red with the GM badges, fog lights, running boards with the black step grip, sunroof, factory amp and sub in the back. I have an 80prs head unit and maestro SW steering wheel control module.

I'm not sure if the website is telling me the correct info because the 2010 does not have the steering wheel controls or factory sub and might be a little different. It tells me to use the dark green wire on the stereo plug, but that's for a speaker I believe.

It says A11 which is dkblu, the steering wheel control wire. The other wire is whtblk on B14 is the 10 v ref, also goes to steering wheel controls. Those 2 wires are the only ones the buttons use.

Thanks! I wonder why it was telling me the other connector with power and ground? That's what confused me. I'm gonna contact maestro and let them know.
