I not talking about breaking the snaps (retainers). Those are cheap. I am talking about breaking the area of the door panel where the retainers are seated. Wrench on at your own risk.

What ChevyMgr says is true. I broke one of the retaining areas that the clip snaps into, I was working outside in the cold at the time.

yea i bought the tool...i still broke 2 clips so im hoping it wont be that bad....but ive never seen a cheaper door panel in my life though.....both back speakers are blown......and a front one is rattling so im just gona replace all 4

i tried to replace just the trim on the drivers door panel cause it was peeling off but the dealer said id have to replace the door panel because its melted to the panel and that since it was a SE that he couldnt do it

Also good for removing the darn thumb tacks the wife used on the back side of the kitchen cabinet doors posting cooking tips!

I've got an annoying buzing sound coming from the driver-door panel right at my left ear. I can stop it by leaning on the panel. Is there a way to make the panel snug up tighter to the door?

slight hijack here,

ChevyMgr... The horizontal trim piece aobve the map packet - one of the "studs(?)" broke off. Do I have to replace the whole door panel or can I replace just the trim piece?

If you mean the silver strip that is right below the armrest and above the pocket, that is part of the panel. Hot glue gun maybe??
