How to replace engine air cleaner/filter

I thought somebody had done this a long time ago.

First: disconnect the MAF sensor on the front air horn.

2. grasp the cool air "wooly worm" at the fender end; it is rubber, work it out of the hole. Don't bother trying to undo the hose clamp on the housing end.

3. Loosen the the hose clamp on the air horn tube on the throttle body end.

4. Grab the back of the housing and yank it up; there are 2 rubber grommets that fit over studs holding it down.

5. There is another rubber grommet on the leg in the front passenger side, at the radiator hose, that will be really tight. Try spraying some silicone lube on it, last resort is to unscrew the stud.

6. now lift the entire assembly up an out while twisting the rubber air horn to get it off of the throttle body.

7. loosen all of the torx head screws on the bottom of the housing, they should be retained, but OK if you pull them out.

8. Pull the bottom off.

9. remove and replace the filter media.

10. reverse to install.
