I added front interior DOME LIGHT.

I got tired of not having a front seat dome light so I added another one. I found another one on Ebay over the winter and have been waiting for the weather to warm up to install it. The only way to put it in is to drop the headliner and sense I had the interior panels out sound proofing Saturday was the day.

I had to hard wire it to the rear one and it works exactly like that one.

How much clearance is needed?

Clarence is not a problem at all. When I cut the hole for the light I worried about it and moved back slightly behind the roof front support. Don't do that if you do this. The perfect spot is just below the support and there is still clearance. Mine is about 4" further back than I would like. Still works great. You wouldn't believe the difference it makes. Also the dome light has a magnet on the top and it sticks to the roof.

I'm thinking about doing something like this, probably get the head liner covered in something black, suede, alcantara, something like that.

I want to put the front 09 dome light with the sunroofd switches in. I am waiting to get one form the junk yard along with the wires harness.

I am not sure if the one I have now and a new one have the same plug.
