Teardown of the 4T40-E and 4T45-E Automatic Transmissions
This is the tear down of the 4T 40-E transmission which is like the 4T 45-E which is in most, if not all, of the HHR… But read What You Need To Know About The GM 4T40E Transmission What You Need To Know About The GM 4T40E Transmission
Which states they changed in 2005 to the 4T45-E from the GM 4T40-E but one must check the VIN and verify which transmission they have.
It is being done by Mr. Hiram Gutierrez and he goes through most of the transmission. Hiram has many videos on you tube and does a good job of showing the tear downs. I am trying to find out where his shop is and his location, along with contact information.

Here is a kit for the Solenoid set years 2004- On: GM 4T40E / 4T45E Transmission Solenoid Set 2004-On NEW (99174) | eBay GM 4T40E / 4T45E Transmission Solenoid Set 2004-On NEW (99174)
