Hi Forum Members

Pavit here. Just bought a 2008 HHR about a month ago and got here trying to solve my speaker problems and understand this wacky stereo system and anything else I can about this cool looking car. I have joined a community of HHR fans! OK onward and upward

Welcome.

You will find the SEARCH box handy.

"Speaker problem", I'm guessing is your chimes don't work and no sound from front left speaker. Water infiltration causes the driver door speaker to fail commonly, that's were the chime sounds come from. Solution is to replace them.

to the forum, and congrats on your new ride!

Check out the Audio sub-forum for info on upgrading and troubleshooting the OEM audio system, it's a bit odd compared to other vehicles, but HHR owners like the challenges involved in upgrading from stock.
