Just bought an HHR

Honestly, didn't think I'd care for it, but my dad's friend was selling an old service vehicle, and he wrecked his truck. I told him to buy the HHR and use until he could find a truck, then I would buy the HHR from him. This all happened, but once I got into the HHR and drove it I was shocked that I loved it.

I don't need the locking storage boxes and extra space, so eventually I'll buy a rear bench and windowed doors for it.

Might do a couple other mods as I have time and money, but I really enjoy driving it as-is!

It's a 2008, but I don't know how to tell what version it is... I heard that's coded into the VIN somehow, but haven't looked it up.

PS: Just caught that Glock 19 part, and I would advise using a proper holster :P
Seriously though, good choice.

Welcome!

To start, there is an LS, LT or SS on the rear hatch from the factory.

If "VVT" is on the valve cover it's a 2.4L or (2.0L, if it has a turbo). The 2008 2.2L was not a VVT.

Here is a VIN decoder, for some reason GM won't admit to 2008 Chevy trucks which the HHR is in GM CAFE classification, but the positions and codes are the same.

That's because it's not a 2008.
