Oldblue! I really like that set of 14.5 inchers. Why no love for the rear though? No matching sets for the rear in either of those?

I know! I wanted to put those 14.5's up front and 11.86's out back, but I think it's over achiever for my 2.2. Then there's the e brake to consider!

Hmmm... Just curious... Anyone supercharge or turbo a 2.2? I'm sure there has to be stuff in the GM or Opel parts inventory, no?

If it turns out you do need axles, it looks like they're around $200 each. Part # 15938134

From this thread https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/comm...c-axles-57070/

Interesting, while nosing around the internet, found this.
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...Axle+Assembly)

They say they fit, and CarID agrees, as does autopartsway Canada. Amazon doesn't like these part numbers, tho.

There are kits out there and used super chargers, most kits require a used or rebuilt super charger, a member collected all the required pieces and sadly he passed away before he completed the swap.

Thanks for the lookout RJ! Whoa! Only $140 for both shipped from AutoPartsWarehouse? I wonder how well they stand up IF they do fit. Alas, only one left...

What a great find, especially for the price!! At that price, one doesn't mind putting a few $'s into it to spruce it up and bring up to spec, and it looks like you got a plan already.

Have fun with it - they are one heck of a car. Oh, by the way............... we LOVE pictures when you get the chance to post some up. :)

Welcome X-1,

You will like it here, these guys really know their stuff!

That is a CRAZY good deal, I thought I stole mine, but you really did the deal.
I am not a huge fan of black cars in the Deep South summertime (had one and learned) but black and red is a killer combo.

I was born in Palm Beach and spent time in St. Pete/Clearwater, the Keys and South Beach but it has been decades now so I wouldn't know anybody. For what it's worth, I have turned over everything for my cars beyond filter changes and cosmetic stuff to Pep Boys. If you find a good one with a real mechanic or two, they are golden. They let me bring my parts and charge a reasonable fee and are open on weekends.
