hello one and all I'm still here. My HHR is doing >.> <.< super well yet. Im in MI. currently and am experiencing real snow for the first time in decades. The HHR isn't a real snow beast. I do admit that.

Its stiil in great shape and I wash it about 2 times a week here in the snowy time to keep the dam salt off it. So far so good. Staying at a friends house for a while, ad I HAVE located a teardrop. Im not sure if I'm going to do it yet or not. I would love a 6 mo road trip, to bypass firearm rules I bought a 45 caliber slug thrower airgun. Its awesome. It can go through 3/4 plywood at 300 yards yet. So I can hunt fish and play as I travel. At least that's the plan until tonight
Then I saw it a beautiful hot red 2008HHRSS for sale within my budget (if I sell ole Brownie) but... the lure of beauty is fickle. Ole Brown still has under 85K miles. it still gets about 30 in town and 34/6 on freeway last time it was out. It works completely, good tires new brakes air works.. but .. dam that red HHR SS is so nice. BUT, its got 150K.

So any advice? I think I can easy get 4K out of brownie and the SS is asking price 5499.
idk... Ive gotten pretty attached. but wow that red SS is hot.
what problems on a 08SS should I look for? Sad thing is its at a dealer so I cant just. poke and prod a lot.
pics of brownie you say? sure... in a bit when i figure out how i posted the other ones.

Welcome aboard, Randy.
You are an interesting person.
I, too, sometimes living on the road, but this is rare and no more than 3 days. Just a trip to the nature, baykshou, to visit friends.
HHR perfectly suited for this. I confirm.
I sleep in it, I live in it, I eat in it. And a lot of things really easy to fit in the cabin.

So Im off to go look at the SS today. heres the ADD pics...

they are asking 5499 for it. it looks perfect except its got 150K miles, its got a 5 speed stick and looks to be maxed out on options.

Hey Randy,

Hearing your lifestyle was entertaining to read (in a good way!). It is not something someone on a forum reads everyday. I like what you did to your HHR and wow that grille is bright. You could see that thing from a mile away. As someone else mentioned, take the time to enter your HHR in the monthly contests Keep on living the live that makes you happy

I am planning to do a 3 month road trip this summer. hit up some races and track down a few things I want. any particular places I should hit? Iv been to about every state cept maine and alsaka. but its been years since ive been down south. as in florida georgia. I passed on the SS. the miles spooked me to much. I am looking for a lowering kit. 2006 maybe 1.5 front 2 back? no more. or someway to get the butt down.

Good to see you back Randy. I think you made a good decision on that SS. As much as I love them, the rather high mileage thing would scare me. And a money pit of a car would probably not work that well for you.

Keep the current one shiny like you do, and it should continue to serve you well.

Keep Rollin man.
