Trying to be a Newbie

Thanks for the link. My only advice at this point is RUN away from that car and that so-called "dealer". You might want to check out their reputation. That's about all I can say at this time.
If you insist on following thru on any vehicle from them, get the vehicle thoroughly checked out by a trusted mechanic.

Wow, that's pretty clear.
Much as I like that vehicle, over time I don't need more hassle than I can handle. Yes, if I wanted to go ahead, I intended to first take it to a well-respected local mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection.
I appreciate your opinion and advice, Whopper. Hey, I just realized we're neighbours! Howdydoo!

Welcome to the site, when you drive it did you feel any pulling in the steering wheel to the left or right?
Any pulsating in the brake pedal or the steering wheel?
Can you write down the VIN number? We can decode that!

Hi, Oldblue, and thank you : ) That is one beautiful vehicle you have there! Love the colour combo!
No pulls or pulses. I would have been put off by that and checked for it It drove like a charm, straight ahead on the flat without my hands on the wheel. I tested the brakes several times by hands off the wheel, resulting in a perfectly straight-ahead stop and with very little pressure on the foot pedal. (I was told that the rear brakes are at 40% but that the front brakes are good and that they do most of the work.) It was peppy and fun, a real treat to drive, and seemed to be “set up” properly. Hard not to love being in the little thing!
I’m not sure when I’ll be going into town again, but when I do I’ll get that VIN.
