Batteries Anyone?

No, this is not the storage room of your local auto parts store.

This is the types of environments that I design for my occupation. Imagine 4,500,000 watts of battery power in one place? In multiple strings, each is capabable of about 432VDC nominal. And six 1.2MW diesel generators behind this in order to assure that the facility NEVER drops. Called "Five-Nine" availability (99.999% uptime).

They have a much different duty cycle and duty rating than your average HHR battery. Made for deep cycling and a sloping discharge instead of short bursts of high ampacity. In the top photo are flooded cell (we call them jars); the bottom is VRLA.
