Here is an example that shows you should always double check the "replacement word" that the program inserts.

This occurred at my daughter's COLLEGE. A course was cancelled due to low enrollment. Letters were sent to students that were enrolled notifying them that the course was cancelled and it obviously should have said "we regret any inconvenience this may have caused". Instead, the administrator who wrote it must have misspelled the word and then inserted the "replacement" word that popped up. The actual letter said "we regret any incontinence this may have caused".

Wrong coast. Bostonians know them as quatas. They would be just fine with this.

I have to acknowledge you guys who are SO gracious to our "less-than-impressive-effort-at-basic-grammar" members who write their stream of consciousness posts that only another "young person" would bother with.

Sometimes you actually edit FOR them, other times you gently encourage the use of grammar and minimal thought in the composition process... I often find myself giving up after 15 words with a "eh - if they don't have energy to write clearly, I don't have energy to read it." Only another young person of the same mindset would find NO issue with that stream of thought act.

So - KUDOS to y'all for being gracious in yet another way to the HHR community. I know that some of those stream-of-thoughters will end up learning and developing and being permanent members of our community who will contribute themselves.

I appreciate that this forum is full of ADULTS (of all ages). I'm sure we've all experienced other forums where that ain't necessarily so.

Oh the puns I could think of but the prude machine doesn't allow that here!
I usually try to help out and that old song Rambling Rose runs through my mind, while I correct the spelling, grammar and punctuation, it's safe there's nothing in there to trip her!!
Sometimes the Auto spelling trips me up!
