I believe someone brought this up previously. I don't believe anyone came up with a real solution other than replacement. Maybe a salvage yard???

It is a common occurrence with HHR's, apparently. My driver's side visor is a bit saggy, but I rarely use it.

Mine did it on the driver's side. It happened on a cold day. I flipped the visor down & heard this cracking noise. After that it would never stay up (which was quite annoying). You'll have to replace it. I got a used replacement on eBay from a salvage guy. Paid about $25-$35.00 for it if I recall correctly.

I stash the top sheets for my news paper
route(s) on the top side of my drivers side visor.
Mine started not wanting to stay either.
I took a piece of the brown bundle paper
and stuck in right side where it clips
in place. It still comes down but mostly has
to be pretty rough street or some thing to make
it drop down. And you really cant see the pieces of
the paper ( basically brown grocery bag paper ).
