If your Dexcool is more than 5 years old change it too.

How do you know the t-stat is working? Did you read the links?

Of course it turned off - it's an intermittent issue. In the meantime, it will disable the A/C and may cause the transmission to shift abruptly. Just change the thermostat - it won't heal itself.
