Line up the marks, don't worry about the clock, as long as the actuator clicks in.

That's the secret, timing marks must line up, it's not the stroke the piston is in it's the position the crankshaft is in!
Mine was off one tooth and it started and ran but P0016 code came on immediately!
So, it's line up the crank sprocket, twelve o'clock for the key way, five o'clock for the little chain position dot, with the #1 piston at TDC, then line up the intake diamond at two o'clock to the special link, then hold the intake cam firm and line up the exhaust cam to its triangle mark and its link , do not move that intake cam clockwise!! Push it gently counter clockwise till the exhaust cam sprocket lines up then get that cam bolt tightened up!
DO NOT ! Move the timing chain whilst torquing the cam gear bolts! Hold the cam with the 24 mm or 15/16 wrench!!
