HI,Looked at your fuel pump replacment pix. I had to replace the pump in my 1999 Suburban 5 times. Lucky at that time the first one was life time warranty and they were stuck giving me 4 more. I am getting a PO 171 code and have just checked fuel pressure and it is 40. When turn switch off the pressure is gone. When you lowered the tank did you have enough play in the hoses and wiring. On that Suburban there was little hose and little wire. In fact on that first tank in lowering it I broke off the neck of the pump because of not enough slack. I notice also the talk of the fuel pressure valve on top of the unit. I just wondered if you had thoughts of that thing being bad and not the pump. Guess there is no way to replace this but the tank being dropped. It appears to me to be under the back seat. Any thoughts of cutting a hole and going from the top. My son did this in a Firebird and sure made things easier. I have 213000 miles so guess I am lucky.
