Fusebox Cover
#11
Slide rite. Check out our Facebook page. Altered ego automotive design. James rakes from CSS hooked me and Richard Hall up together and that brought ttr into the mix. I'll send you some info on Monday on the copper. Side.thought.... I wonder if you could, by blunt persuasion, get a thin sheet of copper to form to the contours of the original airbox. Hum.
That would be a pretty cool airbox if so. I have lots of 2.5" aluminum pipe from an old intercooler setup I am planning to cut and have welded into a custom intake...plated copper of course. It wouldn't hurt to have more than one setup though! Really dig Lunchbox's retro open element style air cleaner too...might go that route as well.

Yes, real and fake.
From shiny new penny to a weird copper and green marbling mix for finishes.
Real. Expensive, fake not too much cheaper. And only one company makes anything like it.
A machine shop in town has all my current cad drawings for the fusebox, air box, and coil pack. For them its all about thickness, finished surface, and how well dressed the edges are for prices.
So if I wanted to do an air box lid in 1/8" thick copper. Because of the odd box size. Materials alone would be in the 350 range. For one cover. And honestly for that kinda money I would have to double it and go much thicker at say 1/4 to 3/8 then spend another thousand or so having it cnc'd with some really nice relief.

Yikes, that is crazy. Good thing I only need the fusebox cover...no SS here, so no airbox lid. If you let me know the preferred thickness of the fusebox cover, I can get the material and send it to you.
