Black Chrome paint Gloss, somebody has tried?

I bought my HHR exactly two years ago (used), and I want to make a refresh to it. I bought two cans of Dupli-Color Cans to have a black chrome appereance (one can is the black tint and the other is the cover gloss). I´m going to paint the grille and the rims, but, I would like to know if somebody has made this. Wish me luck!

One of our members (mongo) used Dupli-Color Shadow to tint his grille and it turned out pretty good.

They make a black chrome specifically for wheels, not sure if that's what you have or not. I would be more durable for both wheels and the grill.

Well, the can instruccions shows that can be aplied for chrome or polished wheels, accessories and trim... I guess that I could use the same for the grille and wheels.

That does look very good it's just like the black chrome one at the dealership. You will need many more cans, thin multiple coats works, this owner was skilled with a rattle can.

HHHMMM? I thinketh this may be the answer to my grille, mirrors, beauty bar and roof rails issue. The issue being I couldn't afford the black chrome upgrade when I bought my 2LT. Did he sand it lightly before applying or no?
