HHR - Buick Bijou Super Progress
#872
Something small that I did to the Bijou... Made the steel wheels red like they were on the original Buick Super. Of course I still have a ton of work left to do on this car... That goes without saying, but the wheels will look much better once I put the full moons back in place.

I was wondering when you'd get to the proper red color on the rims Ben, they'll look umm...Super...with the wheel covers back on.
Keep up the good work my friend, I'm still hoping we catch a flight assignment to your area, gotta see the Bijou in person, and treat you to lunch.

Thank you Mike!
And if you are in Indiana, I will treat you to lunch! If I'm in North Carolina, you can treat me to lunch... LOL
A little Southern Hospitality / Hoosier Hospitality tit-for-tat.

Hi Ben
It rides and runs and looks just like a normal SS until I "get on her".
The s256 Turbo kicks in automatically at 3500 RPM and the sound of the wastegate is indescribable. I let up on her when passing a tractor-trailer and always wonder what the driver thinks. It sounds not unlike the air brakes on a big rig.
I don't let anyone drive it accept "matshhr" Matthew Russ (forum member who lives near me) and he tells everyone its "crazy fast". I usually take friends for a ride while I drive. One time when I kicked it down in 2nd gear my friend Tony said, "Wow, I just saw the virgin Mary" "and he isn't catholic".
Sorry about so much boasting and bragging but when I start talking about this HHR I can't help myself.
I am not too keen on that blue either but it is definitely an eye catcher.
