hood bird
Added a 1954 hood bird to my ride today, spent the last to weeks working on it. Sandblasted it, cut about 1" off because someone drilled a hole in it to mount it on someting. Next i took a the heat to the back half to bend it strate some , then I set it on the hood and scribed a line down the each side . Then i went to the belt sander and sanded it down to the line . It matches the hood shape well so then i painted it up using flat paint and put it on .

Beautiful! Good For You.
If allowed, a small fly in the ointment.
I think you should stay away from pedestrians. If you catch one of them on the hood, your bird will kill him. Simply pierce his belly, and when the pedestrian fly forward - his guts to cling to the wings and will be stretched out.
I hope that this will never happen. In any case, I wish you success. And do not fall into the hands of the cops.
