How to disconnet the auto lights

I am thinking about purchasing a set of HID lights and I don't want the headlights to come on automaticly has anyone disabled the auto lights? If so how was it done? Thank you

To stop your auto lights turn this down


and you D.I.C. will tell you that your Auto Lights are off.

that resets every time the car is started, however i think you can set auto lights to off in the dic.

Why not leave them on Auto? They only come on when needed anyway. Are HID bulbs so expensive , that you don`t even want to use them?

Just checked and you can turn the auto lights on off on the DIC. it is one of the last items on the list.
hold the bottom 2 buttons down for a couple of seconds, let go
cycle thru the DIC w the next to bottom button
change w the bottom button

Personally, i like the auto lights. when i park i just turn the knob back to me and turn them off
