door speakers

I have an 07 hhr lt,I realized after I bought it,it does not have any rear speakers. It has the speaker grilles in the back doors but no speakers,I tried to fade the sound to the rear speakers is how I found out.My question is,are the speaker wires already ran to all the doors, all I have to do is put some speakers in or are the wires omitted

They all have speakers the problem is the connections get corroded ...you can pull your door panel off and check....

well,I pulled out the speakers, found three out of four were blown,I replaced them with some sony x-plodes,the design chevy went to with these speakers in stupid, but,I ripped the old speakers out of the plastic, cut the rear webbing off,cut the ridge around the plastic and sanded with belt sander, installed sound mat(molded)into the frame and installed the speakers, sounds great.

I have one more speaker to do,I will do a photo thing when I do it.It is not hard, just time consuming.

this was done on a cobalt.same procedure.I used wire cutters to cut the lip off and a sander to make it smooth, the video guy uses other tools.
