I'm not sure. I think it was standard on the higher LT models.

Does anyone no the gm part number for the mirror used on the HHR with auto dim on star and compass? I think it was maybe a gentex mirror. The mirror I got on eBay has the temp also which I don't think the HHR ever had in the mirror.

Yes it will. Your just adding one battery key on power wire the rest is already there. If you have a sun roof the switch is a great place to find the key on power.

I don't have a sun roof so I had to go to the fuse box to find one.

The map/dome lights will work Just as they always have.

I did not hook up the reverse wire. I have used this for a year and a half now and have not seen any difference between this one and my 08 that came from the factory.

I think I enjoy the compass more than the auto dimming part of it but it work well.

You are correct.

If you have any problems with it just give me a yell and we will get it figured out.

If you enjoy that mod I can walk you through heated seats upgrade. It's not as hard as it looks.

I'm always in the hot seat it seems, so I'll skip that mod!
Now where in the fuse panel did you tap ignition switched 12v?

The mirror I got on eBay the 511 has the auto dim, the on star, temp and compass. I already have the map lights in the roof above the dash storage, i understand that the temp and compass read out in the same window. Do I need to run a separate wire for the temp to somehow splice into my temp sensor where ever that is? I get my temp now in my instrument cluster
I paid 35.00 for this mirror on ebay
