I've seen some news photos of some guy walking on the bottom side of the Bartonville bridge (I think the captions are eluding to this bridge, not specific)...... Seems it's upside down somewhere downstream......
Maybe some of the original wood can be salvaged for a re-build.

I'm sure they'll salvage and incorporate all they can.
BTW - The trusses usually have the bulk of the graffiti so MJ + DB 4-eva 1937 or whatever will live on
EDIT - There's a nice write-up on it @ http://www.newyorker.com/online/blog...e-vermont.html
Wow - looking at the picture on that page doesn't look hopefull for reusing anything substantial like whole trusses - they'll use what they can

Here's some Western NH pictures with my 87 Mighty Max back in 07
That's Windsor-Cornish Bridge (463' long) connecting NH & Vermont across the Connecticut River in the background.

Old Bedell Bridge didn't make out so well...
That's a sharp truck I had with a 28+ MPG 2.0 liter engine. I shouldn't have sold it.

I just created a wooden covered bridges meetup group today.
There's only 2 members so far but hey, it's brand spankin new.
Here's the link to the group: http://www.meetup.com/Wooden-Covered...nd-and-beyond/
My buddy Mike has been using meetup groups for a few years and told me about it.
I said good for him but that's not for me.
I searched Google for local hiking groups the other day and a few hours later I was a member of about a dozen hiking & photography meetup groups.
It's seems like a pretty cool way to meet people with similar interests.
