Md test n tune
#5
Er, I know what a test/tune night is. At my local track, test/tune days are twice the cost of regular days. If he (or his buddy) has no tuning software, it'd be cheaper to just run on any other day to test. If he has what he needs to tune, we'd like to know if he is tuning the HHR SS, what system he is using, and what his goals are.

good luck against the tbss
not shure if the superchips tune will get ya near him but hey ya never know
just leave on the second bulb he will probably follow you out and red light as well lol
I hope ya win but last I knew even stock tbss go pretty quick
hope you are running 1/4 mile seeing how you will have to try and run him down

I assumed he was more or less announcing it as an invite. I figured you knew what a test n tune was breadfan I was responding to fireman. And tbss depends on if he's willing to dial in the RPMs needed to get a good launch if it's awd, rwd may be a wash if bk can launch well.

Test n tune nights at beech bend were always 10.00 during the week, 15.00 on weekends that major events weren't being held. It was good fun but you're correct without an on board tuner and data logger it's pointless. I just enjoyed running it did help me dial in,my Trans lock in my truck and my throttle mapping for my wet kit.
I have a 94 dodge ram first year of new body, 318, 360 crank, je pistons, eagle con rods, mp1 intake manifold, 1.7 roller rockers, crower cam, lol much much more. Best was a 13.06 @ 108 all motor and a 12.19 @ 119 with a 125 HP wet kit. Not bad for a 4200 lb truck. Sadly 12mpg make for a crappy dd so it gets little drive time.

yea, i'm thinking this is an invitation to locals and i don't think they're going to race each so to speak but to just get some runs in. Cecil County is my local track and Saturdays are the best days to go. it's not overly crowded, you mainly see real racers who're trying to dial in their cars for the Sunday bracket races. last time i went i got there at 8:30am, racing starts at 9am, by 11am i've already gotten 6 passes in and was TIRED of racing. Wednesday nights are (from what i've heard) pretty good too, the track is still decently prepped from the Sunday races. Friday nights are just plain dumb. it's extremely crowded with all the local ricers & rednecks, cars are constantly breaking on the track, you'll be there for 3-4 hours and only get 2 runs in.
