FINNALY...got these flames to show up in a pic...my painter was goin for a one of a kind and I think he nailed it...ever seen a custom airbrush job look better at night than in the day..??pic was taken at low lighy with delay flash..looks the same passing under street light at night...was done with colorshift paint..those who see it in the day..depending on light..can see it..some not so much...pinstipe in front all by hand..

Those look sweet, I love the "real flame" look, and would get it on my SS, but I doubt anyone around here has the skills to do them. I don't want to be the guinea pig either.

[IMG][/IMG]you must have a half decent painter somewhere..true fire has been around for a while now..Mike Lavallee out of California perfected it about 7 years ago now..its very simple and easy for an airbrush guy so they say..ive tried myself on my rc stuff and really..with more practice im sure i could do it..its all in the paint..all candies..very transparent color..makes for good depth with a good clearcote..it looks best over black but can even be done over white...check out "how to airbrush fire" on youtube..there is a pant load of lessons..a good airbrush is reasonable for price..badger 75-100$..water based paints(yup they are)..ill look up sum video and post a few links..you would be surprised at how easy it is..mind you I have found everyboby does it different..thats the nice thing about this kind of paintjob..always "one of a kind"
