adding more layers to plastic dip

lunchbox or anybody else have you came back after you sprayed plastic dip and added more coats say weeks later. And if you did prep work you did. thanks for the help

Car soap and water, let it dry totally, and recoat. Worked well for me.

I've done it a few times, but i usually peel it off and start over. My current dip is sprayed directly over my last color. You just gotta clean it well and make sure it is completely dry, with no water trapped in any cracks or crevices.
