High Mileage HHRs
 

I will have owned my HHR for three years at the end of this month and I only have 35K on it. It's been an awesome vehicle to own! But now I'm trying to decide to keep it for several years, buy a new HHR, or buy a 2010 Equinox which will have the 2.4L ecotec engine and get as good of mileage as the HHR.

My question is how are high-mileage HHRs performing? Has this engine lasted? Would you buy another?

I know the HHR will be fazed out and wonder if I should buy a new one while they're still available. The only problem with that plan is the increased price and the trade-in value they offer on my current model. My '06 1LT was $18,800 and a new one would be $23,000 and they only want to give $9,000 on the old one.

I've got an '06 LS that has 37K on it and I love it. If I had the cash to spare, I'd be at the local Chevy dealer ordering a new SS.

I have 63K almost 64, If I had money I would get a panel. I'm in the same boat as you not a lot of trade-in money and a new LS panel is 20K

Your HHR in new and if you are having no problems drive it. You will be amazed how many miles you can rack up.

Trade in on all cars is horrible right now so if you depend on that money you will not see it no matter what you drive.

On the other hand if the car you want is at a very good price you will save more on that end.

As for the Nox I was never a fan but the 2010 it a winner. They will not be dealing heavy on them when they come out and they should sell well.

Might wait till the second year anyway to make sure the bugs are worked out.

I love my HHR but with them changing so little before they stop making them I will just keep the one I have for about 8-9 more years.

I may look at the Nox V6 for the wife since she now wants an SUV. Her car is due in about 2-3 years to be replaced. The Traverse is nice for Hauling but we just do not need something that big all the time. If the nox will haul a Soap BOx Derby car that will be what we need.

I did drive an Arcadia the other day, Nice!!! But $41K nice. That is just too much nice. I would get a CTS before that.

My wifes is over 60K and still going strong. We expect to take it well over 100K

:lol:, Mine turn's 1yr old this weekend. I have about 8500 on it. I will be running it into the ground. Actually it will eventually replace my Fiancee's Galant which is about to hit 60k. Its actually not a bad Car.

Ha! When I was looking for pre-owned HHR SS', a guy named "Red Brown" was selling a purple one with the original paint! (purple? YEAH, RIGHT, they all came in purple). The address was local, but he wasn't. This sounds just as believeable. Too good to be true and it probably isn't.

Oh no, I wouldn't trust it to drive across the country without seeing it, but I'm just showing that there are some out there with REALLY high miles, so I would be sure many will reach that and then some, especially if they are taken care of.

I have over 40,000 on my 07 hhr and loving every moment.
