Oil Change - Reset help

I just had the oil changed from the dealer and the Oil Life still says 16%. I tried resetting it but it still says 16% am I missing something on resetting the thing? Unless, of course they forgot to put more oil in.

The BCM doesn't know the oil was changed. It is a manual reset. Follow these instructions:

1) Turn the ignition to ON/RUN, with the engine off.

2) Press the information and reset buttons on the Driver Information Center (DIC) at the same time to enter the personalization menu.

3) Press the information button to scroll through the available personalization menu modes until the DIC display shows OIL-LIFE RESET.

4) Press and hold the reset button until the DIC display shows ACKNOWLEDGED. This will tell you the system has been reset.

5) Turn the key to LOCK/OFF.

You can also turn the ignition to the "run" position with the engine off.......depress and release the accellerator pedal three times within 5 seconds and then turn the key off. I guess that's for those of us who are "push button challenged".

If you press the information and the reset button at the same time and you don't go into personalization then there is a problem and the repair would be covered by warranty. Hold it about 3-5 seconds, let off and oil life reset should be the first option. Once it states that hit the check mark (reset).

I used the KEY ON depress pedal 3 TIMES key OFF trick.

5 seconds later, I was at 100%

That works too. :thumb: Not all the time but most, and I don't know why it doesn't always work.

It worked for me either way the dealership should be doing this once the oil & filter have been changed its part of their routine check. I always check before I leave the to ensure they did it just to make sure that they did do the work!
