100 ft lbs is correct. 110 isn't going to hurt anything.

so i put on my winters, but i have never had winters before, always all seasons.
as i was driving to and from work yesterday, it feels very different, feels as if the steering is loose or very sensitive, a little movement to the right or left with the steering wheel and the car is doing a hard turn almost, hard to keep the thing going straight im constantly swerving around...is this normal? is it because the rubber is softer than the all season tires? |
You didn't say what winter tires or size you have, but I know my General Altimax Arctic (205/60R-16) gave me the exact symptoms that you describe. Feels like easy drift/wander, combined with super easy steering. I got used to it in a week or so, but was disconcerting at first. My summer tires are some cheapo 215/50R-17's, and the steering feels more normal, not light, but not heavy, and the drift or wander is gone.
