Gladd to hear it was replace for you. I dont know how long these should last, but I hate that batt. I seems to go dead rather quickly. I left the lowbeams on for about 15 mins one night so I could see what I was doing on my truck. When to move the car and it was dead, and took about 15 mins to charge.

Batteries these days give very little warning before they go bad. I always try to listen to how the motor is spinning while starting to see if it ever sounds like it starting to slow down. Mine is about to hit the 5 year mark on the build and the battery seems to be doing ok. I know on my wifes I swapped her's out the 5 year mark, I could hear it starting to slow down and her's has power sliding doors, I know they take a toll on the battery and I dind't want her to get stranded.

Called GM Roadside service and was impress with quick response. Because I didn't think the battery could be dead already and because of the weird acting lights, I requested a tow and that is what was sent. Driver put the portable cables he carries on it and after 10 seconds it started right up. Still had him tow it to the dealer. Dealer called this morning and said it was ready. Only code it threw was a low voltage code so they charged it overnight and said that it didn't lose any voltage and started right up for them this morning. I have just picked it up. Wish me luck.

For comparative analysis, I just replaced the original Delco battery on my 2002 S10 Pickup this month. I got a little over 8.5 years out of it. I still have the original in my HHR, but it is only 2.5 years old. I haven't had a problem with it so far.
