On the Canadian amazon site both are out of stock ship when available, but I'm in no big hurry.
According to this thread they are similar, but chiltons is double the cost, guess haynes it is then.

I already had the Haynes and decided to buy the Chilton's (2006-2011) too but was disappointed to find they are nearly identical, same pictures, same text etc. I have since learned that Haynes bought Chilton's and for some peculiar reason they are publishing what is essentially the same manual under both names. It's too bad, I always preferred Chilton's to Haynes. Now we only have one choice.

Yup, Chiltons was much better when I was in high school auto shop class. The level of detail was probably halfway between Haynes and the factory shop manuals. It changed a few years back.

Remember when you had to buy a new set of hardbound books every year? Repair shops offices looked like a lawyers library.

Now AllData and Mitchell are owned by the same company that owns Chilton's and Haynes

The last repair shop I worked at (years ago) had 2 wall bookcases in the employees break room.
Not sure how many repair manuals we had but I'll bet there was at least 50.

A Veteran-owned website, themotorbookstore.com, has the HHR Haynes manual for 22.95 + free shipping and the Chilton version for a few dollars more. I have no connection, just stumbled across it. Wish I could afford Helms.

You can also find the Haynes HHR Repair Manual (paperback) on this site available as well.... Just a FYI for anyone who prefers paper over plastic.

Yep, that's where I got my copies long ago.
