The HHR needed a new Timing chain at 102000 miles...

Runs great now, now all I need to do is to replace the struts and the sway bar bushings on the front...

Ouch. Dang chain should last "forever" - however long forever is that is.

Thats what I was thinking. That is one of the many things I love about the ecotec platform. I thank GM for sticking with the chain. Although a bad tensioner could definately prematurely kill a chain.

Plus a 9 year old car? Really do you expect things to last forever? It is a tensioner and a timing chain these things wear out!
