Engine swapp 2.4l 2011 with 2.4l 2009

I am needing an engine I have locked up my 2011 2.4l with over 240k on it. It is a vvt echotech. I think I have found a 2009 2.4l. Unkown mileage for $500.00
The junk yard said I will only need to change my fuel injectors so that I can keep it an e85 also.

Is there any more problems that I need to concider, like reprogramming?
Thaks for any help.

Do you use E85? That's not the reason to swap the injectors though, it is the computer, it is programmed for the injectors connected to it.

Smart things: water pump, timing set (both chains), timing and valve cover gaskets, VVT valves, plugs, serpentine belt.

The only thing that you would need to have done with a computer is learning the Crankshaft Sensor.

I bet you could find a better engine for close to the same price.

Thanks for the reply, I have looked all over atlanta this is the only one right now. I do use e85. What do I have to do for the cranksft sensor? I am an uber driver and cannot work till I am done, 240k miles on the car, used engine 133k. Red 2011the I have 2 hhr's one 2006 and 2011.

I am amazed there is only one of the most used engines in the world in an area the size of Atlanta. 2009 LE9 is supposed to be flexfuel/E85. The ECM is programmed for the injectors part number, if new and old are the same no problem. Junk yard may not include injectors.

The crank shaft sensor needs to be re learned by the ECM; that requires a Tech2 or equivalent scantool (computer).
