Feels like I'm driving in the wrong gear.

So my car just started doing this. It's feels like I'm driving in the wrong gear until I hit 40mps then the car drives great. Just recently replaced the starter and fixed a water leak I had in the car. So what wrong now? It's 2009

Check the ground wires above the starter and to the right , also check the TCM connections to ensure they are tight, clean and no frayed wires.

Maybe explain "wrong" gear a little better. The RPM's too high ? Too low ? Have you counted the shifts from a dead stop up till speed ?

My bad. It feels like I'm driving in the I instead Of D. But once I hit 40 it's OK. Or its sounds like I'm going really fast but I'm not really moving fast at all. If any of this makes sense.

Answers to post #4 would help.

By the way. What ever became of your other problems ? The codes with the camshaft solenoids possibility and the "stuck in park" issue.
You were looking for a new mechanic but never answered back to those other threads you started.

Sorry about that. I replaced the camshaft and the CEL went off. My brother did fixed the gear shift and now it's shifting again. I also replaced the starter.

Still no answer to post #4. Guess I'm done.

Fwiw. I highly doubt you replaced the camshaft. Camshaft position solenoid maybe. 2 completely different parts.

Is one of the many descriptions of a cracked flex pipe.

Are you looking at the tachometer, or just going by sound?
