Easy to answer....it was either "missed" or it does not meet the standard.

I agree with Mr. Gar. no Castrol GTX? I've been using it for years, and in fact just used it three weeks ago for my first oil change in the HHR.

Interesting, only the Castrol synthetics are listed. -Sam

Weird. The product data sheet on the Castrol site says that GTX exceeds GM6094M (the data sheet is dated from 2005 though).

I just changed oil and filter so here Iam thinking ok if by chance I can't use my favorite oil (Castrol GTX) what brand will I buy?, so I pick up a Quart of 5-30w Castrol and it states it exceeds GM6094m specs Yahoooo!!!!!. I did find my factory oil filter to be crushed slightly but other than that everything went smoothly right down to reseting the DIC for oil % life. So there ya have it folks double check what you read or see because it might not seem as it appears.

I'll edit the post image to reflect the current revision and edit a posting referencing the outdated info. And I'll sticky it per your request.

Great info BTW!

I just noticed it's located in a TEMP location. It may not remian there for long.
Perhaps upload it to another location so you can retain it's file size to remain readable.

Just a heads up that Castrol GTX is now back on GMs GM6094M approved motor oil list as of August 8 2007.
