Hi everybody. I did a search and only found an old thread with a link that did not work.

I have tried cleaning my 06 headlights several times with different methods, and they are still foggy and not letting the light shine through. I figure it is time to bite the bullet and replace the housing. My question-oem are pricey. I saw TYC and they are cheaper.

I have not used this brand but I have use a few inexpensive aftermarket head light assembly's.

I have found that you get what you pay for.

Some of the cheap aftermarket lamps are just that cheap. The aiming mech. Easily break or just don't seem to aim correctly.

Good price, limited lifetime warranty, it's up to you! I would give the classified section a look for original H/L somebody may have for sale, first.

I thought about used, but then they would also be faded.

Lee3333... with your HHR having flames, and such. I think you should go with some Depo Headlights! Would look KILLER!

But these Depo's have a record of the lens delaminating in just 6 or 7 months, but they do look cool!

I haven't bought replacement headlight assemblies for the HHR (yet), but I have recently bought assemblies for our minivan and Taurus (to replace yellowed lenses).

The minivan headlights fit well and seemed decently made, although they were not as good as the OEM (thinner plastic, etc).

The Taurus headlight assembly (by TYC) fit OK, but one of the parking light sockets fit loosely. Also, things like the locating notches for proper orientation of the headlight bulbs are poorly made, making it possible to put the headlight bulb in 180 degrees from where it should be, so that when the high beam is on, it shines downward (don't ask how I know this can happen).

TYC HHR headlight assemblies are $57 at rock auto.

OEM headlight assemblies are $112 at gmpartsdirect.com.

You'll have to make the call if they are worth twice the price.

According to the Amazon site, only one person complained that they delaminated. The important thing to me is that they work better.

I ordered them and will see for myself. Thanks.

After reading about them for the past few years on here, I went with Depo.

Car does look A LOT better!
