heater/blower problems

I got into my car today and went to turn the heat on the blower sounded the same as if it were blowing full force but hardly anything was coming out of the vents. and it was the hot air i was trying for but not much was coming out! Also when i opened my glove box and had the heat on full speed it sounded like a waterfall was back there. i felt under dash on passenger side and the carpet underneath was wet! and some water was on the my floor mat. any ideas? it is 50 degrees here and has been raining HELP!

to the forum!

Hate to say it, but you've fallen victim to a known Achilles Heel problem on the 2006 & early production 2007 HHR's. The dreaded leaking Butyl patch in the cowl, when it lets go, you'll have an underdash waterfall.

Give this thread a read on the problem, and how to repair it by clicking the link below...

I'll bet the cabin filter is soaked with water, not letting any air flow.
