hhr power brake vacuum line freezes ?

hhr power brake vacuum line freezes ?
Have 2006 Chevy hhr 2.4. Last year it got a new problem, no brake assist ? Found vacuum line from booster to intake manifold freezes at manifold fitting, once I remove the ice its good again for awhile ? What should I do to fix ?

Is the line itself freezing or the check valve? I ask because though I've never experienced this with an HHR, it was a known problem in some Nissans from the early 2000s. On a 2002 Altima I once owned, the check valve was built into the rubber hose and the check valve had become faulty and would stick but only at cold temps......when I warmed up the engine it would release and function properly. Not sure if the HHRs setup is similar or not.

ice in vacume hose
most of time it freezes rt at fitting in intake where hose goes on, if i pull hose off clean out ice with little screw diver is fine for awile, have had it freeze in hose too, i thought maybe it had something to do with pcv system ? they dont have a regular valve like older cars ? RT ?

Since it appears that you're getting moisture in the line, there is a possibility that you somehow have water or moisture inside the brake booster. How ? Not really sure.
But the fact is, the booster works off of vacuum, so any air/moisture would in theory be pulled from the direction of the booster towards the engine.
(just trying to think outside the box so to speak)
