Coming back from Florida on I-95, we started to have water dripping from under the dashboard onto the toe-board and then over the flat part of the floor on the front passenger side. By the time we got home (600 miles) we had about an inch of water on the floor. I pulled out the factory floor mat and used my shop vac to suck out the water leaving just a damp carpet. Yes, we did have the A/C on coming home as it was really warm outside. The next day my wife noticed more water dripping down from under the dash although the A/C had been off all day. She said the water seemed soapy and wondered if possibly the windshield washer tubing went into the passenger compartment to reach the washer outlets just under the windshield. Could that be possible or could the drain for the under dash evaporator be clogged somehow although it had been working fine until the trip home?
Your thoughts, suggestions, recommendations are most appreciated.

Check the cabin air filter first, if they are severely clogged condensation from the evaporator can back up into the cabin, plus look for leaves and other debris.

You can also check the condensate drain that goes through the firewall, it might be clogged up with gunk, or an insect nest.

Appreciate this info and link!!! Forgot to mention, it had not rained prior to, during, or after this problem arose so I don't think the windshield gasket or weather stripping are involved.
I definitely will look into the filter and the condensation drain. Thanks!

I am also thinking AC condensation. Some compressed air through the drain should do the trick.

Somebody recently posted about the rubber wiring conduit to the door being un seated causing water on the floor.
