Locked ignition.... please help

Ok so here is my issue. I have a 2009 hhr my key will not turn in the ignition so I can not start the car. I have had it lock a few times but usually if I wiggle the wheel or tap on it I am able to start it. I have been unable to do anything with it. Any suggestions? At this point anything is worth a try.

I would lubricate the cylinder (teflon lubricant is great but anything will probably work), insert the key, hold key in place while tapping on lock face around the key with a screwdriver. Count 100 taps and attempt to turn lock. Repeat tapping until successful. Do not remove key. Removing key will push tumblers up and the stuck tumbler will become stuck again. Do not get carried away with tapping, stay on the metal lock face and use light force. Once ignition turns do not remove key again. Drive car to dealer at earliest convenience and have repaired.

Lubing might help, but you need a new ignition lock cylinder. This was common on '09s

Mine has had the ignition changed twice it still does it once and a while. I have found if you turn it back and forth hard while trying to turn the key it will turn. I notice it happening more if I stop it with the wheel turned some ( not straight)
