My HHR won't start after hit

Hi all,

I was driving and had an oopsie moment and hit the curb and side rails. I messed up my tire and the front axel seems to be damaged as well, all that I can fix. However, the car won't crank. the battery has charge and the key turns, but nothing, not even the slightest crank.

Has anyone ever seen this? Any ideas what to look into?

Thank you

Fuses, make sure it's in Park/Neutral or check the clutch pedal. maybe a ground has come loose. Check the power wire at the alternator and starter.

And relays and shift interlock(s) and grounds and positive cable.

Did the seatbelts or airbags deploy?

all the connectors - they can be disconnected from the blow.
Generally an electrical problem with a high probability.

It would be nice to get more information.
What happens when you turn the key? Whether the lights are on the dashboard? Can you hear the sound of the fuel pump by turning the key?

Right now when you turn the key all the way nothing happens, not even the slightest attempt to start, no crank, nothing.

Thank you all for replying. On Saturday I'm going to check all that was suggested here and provide more information.

just as a suggestion:
kick in the rack - a vibrating effect on the steering column - the egnition lock broke / "switch off" from the electric mains

some wire could break away from its place
